To impart wrinkle-free, finish to 100% cotton and cotton / polyester blends.
FINOX DMDA
A low formaldehyde cross-linking agent for shock – cure process.
FINOX DMDA has all the inherent merits of that system with comparable crease recovery performance. Its distinguishing feature is the low content of formaldehyde.
PROPERTIES
Physical Character
:
Clear slightly yellowish liquid
Ionic Character
:
Non-ionic
Chemical Character
:
DMDHEU
APPLICATIONS
General Recipes
1.
On 100% Cellulosics
Wash and wear finish
100 – 140 g / l FINOX DMDA recommended
Pad to approximately 70% to 90% as per requirement pick – up. Dry at 1100C – 1200C and cure at 1500C for 3 minutes or pad and shock – cure at 1800C for 45 seconds or 1900C for 30 seconds without intermediate drying
2.
On Polyester / Cellulosic Blends
a)
Shirting
40 – 60 g / l FINOX DMDA
6 – 8 g / l Catalyst
b)
Suiting
40 – 60 g / l FINOX DMDA
6 – 8 g / l Catalyst
Pad to 70% to 80% pick – up, shock-cure at 190ºC for 30 seconds or 180ºC for 45 seconds.
3.
On 100% Synthetic Fabrics
a)
Resilient Stiff Finish
100 – 150 g / l FINOX DMDA
15 – 20 g/ l Catalyst
Pad to about 80% pick-up, shock cure at 1800C for 45 seconds.
b)
Filling Finish (antisnaq) on knitted Fabrics
30 – 80 g / l FINOX DMDA
5 – 10 g/ l Catalyst
Pad to about 100% pickup, shock-cure at 1600C for 40 seconds. This finish reduces the tendency for threads be plucked out form the fabric. The fabric is rendered easy to handle in cutting and other stages of garment making.
