An economical high molecular weight polymer for fixing of cellulose dyed / printed with direct and reactive dyes.

HIGHLIGHTS

Greatly improves the wet fastness properties of direct and reactive dyed and printed cellulose fibres

Has little or no effeect on the shade of Dyeing Processs or prints

No impairement of light fastness property

Both a complex former and has affinity for the fibre

Does nor effect the handle of the fibre

RECOMMANDATION

1. Exhaust application – Dyed / printed cellulose

FINOFIX PBC 1 – 2 % (reactive dyed cellulose)
  2 – 3 % (direct dyed cellulose)

At pH 5 – 5.5 for 20 minutes at 30 – 40 C, hydroextract without rinsing, then dry. Best results are obtained when Finofix PBC is applied after the application of the cationic softener in thesame bath at an acidic pH – 5 – 5.5. (As Finofix PBC exhausts on to the fibre an acidic pH is advisable for good fixation). If levelling is a problem an increase in pH of application produces improved migration.

2. Pad application - Dyed / printed cellulose

FINOFIX PBC 10 – 20 g/l (for reactive dyed cellulose)

20 – 30 g/l (for direct dyed cellulose)

temperature about 30 C and pH 7.

Fixation with Finofix PBC prevents migration of the unfixed hydrolysed colour in the wet state and prevents two sided effects during drying.

APPLICATION

This product FINOFIX NFE is cationic in nature, it combines with loosely absorbed dyestuffs forming a complex molecule which is insoluble, thus reducing the bleeding tendency of such Dyeing Processs. Generally Direct or Reactive dyed fabrics is treated with 2 –3 g / l of product FINOFIX NFE

Bleeding of colour during washing of Direct and Reactive dyed goods is a well known phenomenon mainly because of loosely held dyestuffs in the case of former and loosely held hydrolysed dyestuffs in the case of the later.

Conventional dye fixing agents generally available in market are Formaldehyde based condensation products which contains free formaldehyde. Due to persistent demand from a consumers and stringent ECO friendly restriction for exporters, a new Eco-friendly dye fixing agent which does not contain any formaldehyde is developed.

SALIENT FEATURES

1. NO FORM ALDEHYDE IS USED AND HENCE NO COMBINED FORMALDEHYDE

2.

Ideally suited for fixation treatment after rinsing stage so as to reduce bleeding of

Direct and Reactive dyes.

3.

It gives much better Dyefixing results compared to normal Dyefixing Agents manufactured

from Formaldehyde in relation to tone / colour change & bleeding of dyes.
